·         Grenada to receive 33 additional cruise ship calls
As a result of itinerary changes for many Caribbean cruises, Grenada will be included as a stop for 33 additional ships.

·         Grenada to host Royal Ocean Racing Club’s Transatlantic Race

Announced on September 28, Grenada will now host the joint jubilee celebration for the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s Transatlantic Race. The westbound race from Marina Lanzarote, Canary Islands, includes teams from the United States, Canada, UK and many others. This will be the third time that Camper and Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, Grenada welcomes the event.



·         Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel joins Relais & Châteaux

Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel recently announced that it has been invited to join the prestigious hotel group, Relais & Châteaux. The hotel is set to reopen on October 4 after eight weeks of renovation, and once open, will be rebranded as the fifth hotel in the Caribbean to be awarded the status.


·         Green Roof Inn Carriacou Now Offers Yoga Retreats

The quaint Green Roof Inn located on the sister island of Carriacou, just a 20 minute flight or 90 minute ferry from Grenada, is now offering yoga retreats facilitated by HolistiCitiLyfe, which specializes in destination trips and retreats that enhance, maintain or jumpstart a client’s holistic journey. The Green Roof Inn has a special gazebo where the yoga classes are held.


·         Spice Island Beach Resort Reopens after short renovation
The AAA Five Diamond, Spice Island Beach Resort welcomes back visitors to its award-winning, luxury property after a renovation during the month of September. The resort added an open-air Yoga Pavilion overlooking Grand Anse Beach for visitors to enjoy.


·         Kimpton Kawana Bay now offering Citizenship by Investment
This hotel is scheduled to open in October 2019. Accommodation will comprise luxury studio rooms and pool suites, which are now for sale through Citizenship by Investment. Penthouse apartments will also be for sale on a freehold basis to private owners. The resort will have an infinity pool, a chef-run restaurant, a fitness center, a spa, water sports facilities, a lounge bar and a beach bar.

·         Silversands joins Leading Hotels of the World
Silversands Hotel, which is slated to open winter 2018, is now a part of the Leading Hotels of the World, a global curated collection of more than 375 luxury hotels and resorts in more than 75 countries. The hotel is a USD $77 million project located on the world-famous Grand Anse Beach featuring 56 rooms, 12 suites and nine luxury villas. 




·         Sel & Poivre now open and Secret Harbour Boutique Hotel & Marina coming soon
French for salt and pepper, Sel & Poivre is a new restaurant located at the Secret Harbour Marina. It offers French and Caribbean fusion cuisine in a relaxed and stylish waterfront setting. The whole resort is being re-launched as Secret Harbour Boutique Hotel & Marina offering a full-service marina that accommodates 55 boats, plus a 20-bedroom boutique hotel offering an elegant dining restaurant, full service bar, pool house, tennis court and volleyball court. The restaurant will cater to weddings and other special events that are hosted in the pool house bar and dining area. 


·         Award-winning chef, Yvette Michelle LaCrette to transform menu at La Phare Bleu restaurant
The Deck Restaurant is being upgraded to become a center for fine dining. Apart from physical renovations, the menu will be transformed by Grenada’s celebrity chef Yvette Michelle LaCrette. For many years, Chef LaCrette has been the top choice of the Office for Commonwealth Permanent Missions to the United Nations to prepare meals for ambassadors representing fifty-three nations.




·         SNUBA® now offered at Sandals LaSource Grenada
SNUBA® is now being rolled out throughout the Sandals/Beaches chain and the resort is the first to offer the experience on the island. A SNUBA® experience can be booked directly through the resort’s Aqua Center or via Island Routes for non-guests. The price is offered at USD $117 per person at both outlets.  



·         Deefer Diving “Dive & Stay” package in Carriacou
Deefer Diving has partnered up with the Carriacou Grand View Hotel, John's Unique Resort and the Mermaid Beach Hotel to offer “Dive & Stay” packages. Prices start from USD $202.27 per person. The packages include bed and breakfast, accommodation, and taxi transfers from the airport/ferry.

·         True Blue Bay’s “Winter Escapade” package
Book five nights or more in the Waterfront Suites or Villas and receive 45 percent off standard rates. The rates include daily continental breakfast and must be booked by November 15, 2017 for stays between December 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018.

·         Early bird special at Petite Anse Beach Cottages
Guests can take advantage of 15 percent off early bird bookings for stays between November and December 2017 with code “Fifteen”.

·         Le Phare Bleu’s Dive Festival offer
Guests can enjoy 20 percent off of a five night stay from October 10-15 during Grenada’s first-ever Dive Festival. The stay includes complimentary breakfast, free airport transfer and free transfer to all Dive Festival events.  


·         Value added package at Calabash Boutique Hotel
Book a minimum of 7 nights, or 4 nights for US travelers, in all categories and on all meal plans, arriving between October 9 and December 18, 2017 and receive an upgrade to the next suite category (subject to availability), USD $250 resort credit per suite, a 45-minute massage per person per stay. Arrivals from October 4-8, 2017 receive USD $500 resort credit and one suite category upgrade (subject to availability).

·         Fall package at Laluna Boutique Beach Hotel & Villas
Starting at USD $595 per night between October 15 and December 19, an accommodation in a cottage suite with a king-size bed with a private veranda and plunge pool will include a welcome drink, daily a-la-carte American breakfast, daily a-la-carte lunch and dinner (excluding beverages), daily classes in the beach-front yoga pavilion for yoga or pilates, and two Balinese massages in the Asian spa topped with a special “Laluna gift”. The package is based on a four night minimum stay.
